“The showpiece event of International Week was undoubtedly the concert on Wednesday evening. The importance of celebration is something we can forget in the busyness of our days and so it was a joy to witness pupils from across the globe performing to their friends and celebrating a wide variety of talent. From Lady Gaga to K-Pop, from Stravinsky to Burna Boy, it was a wonderfully eclectic evening of music, dance and magic.

“The rock and jazz improvisation battle on Thursday was another remarkable event. This new venture, initiated and organised by the Music Secretary, Ben Kittoe, saw 16 of our accomplished musicians in head-to-head music improvisation battles. It was a brave event to enter; all musicians were pushed out of their comfort zones, but it proved to be a tremendous success. Well done and thank you to everyone involved in both evenings.

“With best wishes.”
