We have so much happening in school on Friday (5th May) to commemorate King Charles III’s Coronation!

From afternoon tea parties to themed art activities to music and dance; red, blue, and white will certainly be the colours of the day, and pupils from Nursery right the way through to Sixth Form will be involved.

The events detailed below are ones which we are able to welcome families and friends of the school to:

8.40am – Coronation School Service at Ely Cathedral. Please note there is likely to be standing room only. If you are unable to attend the Service, it will be livestreamed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPRUHpsqHi4

4.40pm – OSFEST. This is our annual summer fete-style event, organised mainly by students in Osmond House, with the support of their Housemaster, Paul Lott. Fun and frolics will be on New Field, with some stalls and inflatables in the Sports Hall. All King’s families and friends are welcome, including well behaved dogs!

6.30pm – Charity Colour Run. As ever, students in Torfrida House, supported by their Housemistress, Dr Caroline Skeels, are organising the colourful extravaganza. Everyone can take part – students, parents, grandparents, cousins, staff, Old Eleans – you do not have to run the 2-kilomete route either, just take it in your own stride. Do however wear dark clothes or garments which you do not mind getting messy! Entry is £5 on the evening, or places can be booked in advance via the Box Office: www.kingsely.org/news-events/box-office/

We look forward to kick-starting your Coronation Bank Holiday Weekend celebrations!
