KING’S Ely Junior (KEJ) commemorated Ascension Day on May 26th with a wonderful Morning Eucharist at Ely Cathedral.
Students and staff from Years 3 to 8 came together for the service, which featured some splendid singing from our Junior musicians. We were also delighted to welcome along lots of KEJ parents and carers.
Ascension Day is an important date in the Christian calendar which commemorates Jesus Christ’s ascent into heaven. The day is traditionally celebrated on the 40th day after Easter Sunday. It is also known as the Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ, Ascension Thursday or Holy Thursday.
