We had a fabulous time meeting prospective pupils and families at our Open Event on Saturday, May 11th.
Glorious sunshine shone over Ely as we welcomed more than 100 families through the gates to tour our campus and facilities, meet our students and staff, and discover more about life at King’s.
As well as tours and speeches from students and staff, some of our musicians performed, there was Hoop Trundling on the Old Palace lawn, and delicious British afternoon tea-inspired refreshments prepared and served by our Catering Team.
The King’s Ely deckchairs proved as popular as ever, as did the ice cream van, our Rubik’s Cubes, and our mini lettuce plant giveaway (thank you G’s Fresh!).
Open Events are a mammoth team effort here at King’s. Staff from every department in school join forces to make them the success that they always are. Many students are involved too, especially when it comes to the tours.
We have received some wonderful feedback from families who attended Saturday’s event!
One prospective parent said: “We want to thank everyone at King’s for a wonderful morning on Saturday. The tour of the Nursery was perfect. We are really looking forward to our son joining Acremont, we know he is going to love it there!”
Another parent said: “I just want to say thank you to the staff and the wonderful pupils we had the pleasure of coming into contact with today. It must be a joy for all of you being involved in a team in such an inspiring institution. Our daughter loved everything about it. She was definitely welcomed by the warmth of the staff, impressed by the facilities available, and I cannot fail to mention the food also made a lasting impression!”
