Our Pre-Prep to Prep Transition Programme is in full swing!
Both of our Year 2 classes popped over to King’s Ely Prep to enjoy some coding fun with Mr Daniel Everest, who is Head of Key Stage 2 and Computing and Digital Innovation.
The children had a blast creating algorithms and coding different coloured lights, eye patterns, and dance moves with Dash Robots. A few days later, Year 2s and their teachers and teaching assistants had lunch together in the Monastic Barn, which is where the children will dine everyday when they join Year 3 in September.
Our Pre-Prep to Prep Transition Programme also includes swimming sessions at King’s Ely Prep, Year 3 Teacher familiarisation activities, and our whole school ‘Move-up Morning’ in the Summer Term. Close communication between our Year 2 and Year 3 Teaching Teams ensures that this important transition is a very positive experience!
