For months, King’s Ely Sixth Form leavers, Connor Marshall and Daniel Kember, had been asking if they could serve lunch in the Old Palace Refectory.
During the last week of term, and what were the final few days of school altogether for Daniel and Connor, our Old Palace Chef Supervisor, Mrs Taggart, gave in and sourced the duo some hair nets and hats, before letting them loose behind the counter.
The pals, who have both been at King’s since joining Acremont Pre-Prep in Year 1, served their peers, teachers, and support staff with a smile, they helped to keep the trays and refrigerators well stocked, and they even got stuck in with the washing up!
