We had a fabulous time meeting prospective families at St Faith’s School in Cambridge on Wednesday (April 19th) evening.

Old Fidelian (St Faith’s Alumni), James Warren, pictured, attended the ‘St Faith’s Future Schools Fair’ with our Principal, John Attwater, and our Director of Admissions and Marketing, Nick Tappin.

James joined King’s Ely Senior from St Faith’s, which is one of our feeder schools, in Year 9. He is now in Year 11.

Like so many King’s students who live in the Cambridge area, James travels to and from school by train. He said: “It is an early start for me, as I catch two different trains to get to Ely, but King’s is so worth the journey!”

When asked to describe King’s Ely in three words, James chose ‘supportive’, ‘friendly’ and ‘opportunity’.

James said: “I am very happy at King’s. I have lots of friends, I feel accepted, and I have a role within the school. I feel the younger pupils look up to me, especially when I am teaching the Year 9s in Ely Scheme, which is the outdoor education programme at King’s.

“All the teachers are very supportive here. If you need extra help with a certain topic, or if they think doing something a different way might be better for you, they will do everything they can to achieve this for you. They are dedicated to maximising every pupil’s potential.”
