KING’S Ely Sixth Form student, Inga Kuliabina, has been ‘Highly Commended’ in this year’s Oxford German Network Olympiad.

Inga, who is in Year 12, wrote an essay on the theme of the White Rose Project, a research and engagement initiative at the University of Oxford, exploring the story of the anti-Nazi resistance circle, ‘The White Rose’.

Inga has received a certificate for her essay, which has now been published on the Oxford German Network website – www.ogn.ox.ac.uk

Inga joined King’s Ely Sixth Form in September last year and she is studying German, Maths and Biology for her A Levels.

During the Easter holidays, Inga also took a Goethe-Institut exam in Freiburg, for which she achieved Level B1. This is roughly the equivalent of an AS Level and would normally take 18 months to achieve. Inga had only been studying German formally for two terms at that point.

Congratulations Inga – such fantastic achievements!
