King’s Ely is a family school, and our boarding students are the heart of that family.

It’s important to us that our boarders feel safe, secure and supported when living, working and socialising together in their family away from home.  We emphasise responsibility to our community, to each other and to a world beyond King's.

Our boarders are encouraged to take part in a broad range of extracurricular activities and to live their lives to the full, whether in an inter-house sport match, acting in a drama production or singing in a choir in Ely cathedral.

Our King’s Ely boarders leave confident in their ability to communicate readily and easily with those from different cultures and backgrounds and to take their place in an interconnected world.
