Congratulations to Old Elean and Gap Tutor, Rosie Ringer, for conquering her first ever quadrathlon – The Norfolk Superhero!

The Norfolk Superhero is a charity quadrathlon event, which is held annually in June at Burnham Overy Staithe on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. Participants cover a course, which includes a 1-mile swim, a 4-mile kayak through the creeks, a 45-mile circular cycle route, and an 8-mile run across the beach, finishing with the last mile over the marsh.

The gruelling event not only allows those who relish an endurance challenge to put their stamina to the test, but it also raises thousands of pounds for good causes in Norfolk. This year’s quadrathlon is supporting Norfolk Community Foundation’s ‘Nourishing Norfolk’ initiative, which is working tirelessly to ensure that no one in the county goes hungry.

Rosie not only completed the challenge in just over 5 hours, but she has also raised more than £1,200 for Nourishing Norfolk!

Rosie said: “I have never done anything like the Norfolk Superhero before, but I loved it and I am definitely going to do it again next year! It was really tough. It was such a hot day and I could feel the heat coming off the tarmac when I was cycling, but the toughest part for me was definitely the 8-mile beach run. The heat was intense and the sand was really deep. It was such an amazing day though – it was so well organised and everyone supported each other brilliantly.”
