In which year group did you join King’s?

I joined King’s Ely Senior in Year 9.

What A-Level subjects are you studying?

Psychology, Biology, and Music.

What is your favourite subject and why?

That is a tricky one! Probably Music. We have a lovely class and I enjoy how we have lots of different elements, from practical work to analysis Music. I find it very interesting.

What extra-curricular activities are you involved in at King’s?

I am involved in a few Music activities, including Chapel Choir, Chamber Choir, Close Harmony Group, and singing as a Choral Scholar. Each space challenges me in different ways, and I love the community that each one has.

I am also involved in King’s Unity. I am very passionate about inclusivity and diversity, and have wanted to make sure that this is represented in school. This space allows me to discuss topics going on in the world and help educate people about these topics.

Friendly, Inspiring, Community.

Do you board at King’s? If so, what is the boarding experience like here?

Yes I do board. I started off in Ethedreda House in Year 9, and in Year 12 I moved to Hill House. I have thoroughly enjoyed boarding, and have made so many friends. There is such a positive atmosphere.

How do you feel to have been appointed Head of School?

I am still in slight disbelief, but I am very grateful that I have been appointed. I am excited for the year ahead!

What do you hope to achieve in your capacity as Head of School?

I am keen to make the school an even more friendly environment, where every student feels included and where there is great integration between all year groups. I also want to inspire people to understand that they are all capable of achieving great things.

What are your plans for after Sixth Form? Do you know what career you would like to pursue yet?

I am still undecided, although I am interested in either Psychology or going to a Conservatoire.

Hobbies/interests outside of school?

I enjoy going on family country walks, and going out to exercise in my free time. I also love cooking and making my family try my new recipes.

Any pets?

An incredibly bouncy Toy Poodle called Minho, who apparently looks like me!

What is your favourite meal/food at King’s?

Teriyaki salmon and noodles.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To be able to read people’s minds.

Who is your hero?

My mum.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Speaking in front of the school about Black History Month last year.

What was the last book you read?

‘They Don’t Teach This’ by Eniola Aluko.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Any Destiny’s Child song!

What is your favourite film?

‘Back to the Future’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

When I was younger I was afraid of Stig from the book ‘Stig of the Dump’.

If you could share a meal with any four individuals, living or dead, who would they be?

Rosa Parks, Pretty Yende, Dr Ben Carson, Eniola Aluko.

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

A swimsuit, a knife, and Vaseline.
