Thank you to everyone who supported our ‘Bombarde of Organists’ recital!

The free concert, which was held in our beautiful Old Palace Chapel, was a wonderful opportunity for some of our pupil and Ely Cathedral organists to showcase their skills and the versatility of the instrument.

Prep musician, Lukasz Niezgoda, and Senior musicians, Thomas Strudwick and Ian Mak, performed. Cathedral organists, Stanley Godfrey, Glen Dempsey and Edmund Aldhouse, also delighted the audience.

Mr Neil Porter-Thaw, who is Director of Music at King’s, said: “We hear the organists play but we rarely see them. Having let them out of the loft for one night only (!), the audience were treated with a splendid array of performances. I am very proud of our pupils who play the organ for services, and it is uncommon in a school such as King’s to have more than one organ pupil, let alone six. Thank you for sharing your stories with us too – it was a great evening!”
