Queen Emma were victorious in this year’s Humphries Challenge!

Humphries Challenge is held at King’s Ely Prep every year towards the end of the Summer Term. It is organised in memory of Christopher Humphries, who was passionate about outdoor learning, and who was heavily involved with our unique outdoor education programme, Ely Scheme.

Humphries Challenge sees our Year 8 pupils representing themselves and their Houses (Queen Emma, Goodwin, Queen Philippa, and Saunders) in a variety of challenges, all of which are designed to test and improve their teamwork, communication, and strategic skills. Activities include the electric fence challenge, the assault course, an ergo relay, water challenges in the school swimming pool, and orienteering, to name just some.

Congratulations of course to Queen Emma, but kudos to every single pupil who competed. Something tells us that there will be a lot of Year 8s looking forward to getting stuck into Ely Scheme activities when they join Year 9 in September!
