Matron of the Junior Boarding House, Priory, for seven years.

Your new role at King’s Ely:

Matron of Hill House, which is one of the Senior Boarding Houses.

What do you enjoy most about working at King’s Ely?

I love the family feeling at King’s, its diversity and its ability to create a happy, welcoming teacher/pupil relationship.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Walking, American Stock Car Racing NASCAR, Formula 1, spending as much time with my family as possible.

Any pets?

Yes, a male cat called Biff, who is 12 years old.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A coroner.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Time travel!

What was the last book you read?

I don’t read much.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

‘You Make My Dreams’ by Daryl Hall and John Oates.

What is your favourite film?

‘Meet Joe Black’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Spiders, clowns and dolls.

An umbrella, a satellite phone to call for help and some Piña Colada!
