Bursaries
Financial contributions are essential for achieving our vision of long-term stability and development at King's Ely. We want to expand access to King's Ely through bursaries to maintain a socially diverse and inclusive community. To extend our bursary support, additional financial backing is essential.
Between 2025 and 2030, we aim to raise £2 million in donations to provide increased bursary opportunities.
The 970 Society
King's Ely can trace its origins from at least 970 AD, making it one of the oldest schools in the country.
Contributions from 970 Society members support every facet of the School, providing essential resources to strengthen and grow academic programs, enrich student life, attract and retain talented faculty, and expand financial aid.
Donors have the option to direct how their gifts are used or entrust us to allocate funds where they are most needed.
Leavers Gift
The Leavers’ Gift is a departing gift from the families of Leavers to the bursary fund.
The donation aims to provide others with the opportunity to experience an education at King’s Ely and all the benefits it offers.
Captital Projects
King's Ely occupies over 100 buildings from every century since the 1100s across its 750-acre site.
The costs associated with keeping this historic estate up to modern standards are considerable and there are a number of opportunities available both to support major renovations of existing buildings and to give towards a number of iconic new developments.
The 1541 Club
For just £15,41 a month, you can help support a students bursery.
In honour of the year the school received its Royal Charter, a donation of £15.41 per month grants membership to the King's Ely 1541 Club.
While many members choose to contribute more, the 1541 Club is built on inclusivity, allowing supporters to give at a level that suits them. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful impact.
Eliensis Society
Leaving a gift in your Will is an easy way to make a lasting contribution without affecting your current financial needs.
No specific amount is necessary; we simply ask that you inform us if you plan to leave a legacy gift, so we can express our gratitude and welcome you to the Eliensis Society.
We fully respect the wishes of those who choose to not to disclose their intention, and we understand that making a Will is a private and sensitive matter. Please advise us if you wish to remain anonymous.
