Learning Support

The Learning Support Department is committed to enabling all students to become confident and independent lifelong learners.

By addressing needs early on in a pupil’s education, we empower pupils to reach their full potential, and become active participants in their education.

“Thank you for all you do and are doing for my daughter. It is so warming and reassuring to see how dedicated, interested and passionate you are towards the children you look after. I appreciate all your hard work and thank you again for caring.”

“Thank you very much to you and your team for the amazing support you have given our son (and me!) over the last six years. We will never forget the part you have played in his development and will be forever grateful for your patience and commitment to his progress.”

Our inclusive approach at King’s Ely Prep goes beyond the compliance of legal requirements. It fosters a sense of belonging, acceptance and respect among all students regardless of their differences.

While some pupils with specific learning differences may require tailored support throughout their school career to thrive academically and socially, others may only require extra help occasionally.

Support at King’s Ely Prep adopts different approaches depending on an individual’s age and stage of development. We have additional adults in some subject lessons, offer small group support and 1:1 specialist teacher provision striving to help each child to succeed.

King’s Ely Prep believes education is not only for passing exams; it is also about preparing pupils for life beyond the classroom. Embracing neurodiversity not only benefits pupils with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) but also imparts valuable life-long skills. Our learning environments foster patience, empathy and the importance of collaboration; skills that pupils will need for success in adulthood.

The lessons learned at King’s Ely Prep will not only serve individuals well in school but also as they navigate the diverse and complex world beyond the school gates.
