Located in some of the School's most picturesque buildings, our House Masters, Mistresses and Matrons work hard to create a home-from-home environment in which our students can feel settled and at ease. 

A schedule of weekend and evening activities means that there is never a dull moment for our students who are able to board on either a full or flexible basis.

With Cambridge and London easily accessible by train, our older students can enjoy all that these two great cities have to offer. 

For some, boarding is a necessity. For others, it is a positive choice made for all the life-enhancing benefits it can bring.

Hill House - Sixth Form Girls Boarding  

Hill House, originally an 18th Century domestic building, stands a little south of the Monastic Barn which now houses the School’s dining hall, at the top of Back Hill.  

With several modern extensions, the house is now 'home' to our Sixth Form girls.

Herewood Hall - Sixth Form Boys Boarding 

Hereward Hall was the School’s first expansion beyond the monastery, built with Government and Cathedral grant in 1881 when the School was formally separated from the Cathedral.  

The building stands within its own formal gardens, close to the School’s sports buildings and the Prep School.
