"We decided to move our daughter, Bea, to King’s Ely as she loves anything creative, and we feel the facilities for artistic endeavours are unrivalled! We are so excited about the education Bea is now receiving. She joined mid-year in Year 7 (2024), and her welcome was above and beyond anything that we could have hoped for – from the admissions process through to settling in.
"Not only does King’s Ely tick the creativity box, but without a doubt Bea is academically stimulated and excited to learn, thanks to the enthusiastic and passionate teaching staff. Bea has also become much more confident, and out of the blue has also become sporty and musical! We can only now describe Bea as thriving both inside and outside school. She said “everything came together for me as soon as I started at King’s Ely”.
"The sheer number of extra-curricular activities on offer is inspiring. We noticed Bea changed her attitude. She used to keep her school and home life very separate but now school has become her life. She has thrown herself in.
"Bea takes a 50-minute train ride to school and does a change at Cambridge Station. This has not been a problem due to King’s Ely pupils being so supportive to her. On the occasions where we do collect her from school, we enjoy visiting. The warmth of the school is different from anything we have experienced. There is a buzz about the place and, most importantly, all the children seem to be extremely happy.
"Bea was concerned about making new friends, but she should not have worried, as this was instant! She found like-minded people to have fun with and has never looked back. We expected an improvement in her education, or else we would not have moved her, but the difference we have seen was completely unpredicted and has been incredible!"
