Bikeability Week at King's Ely Prep!

Our Year 5 pupils donned their safety helmets and hi-vis vests for a week dedicated to cycling skills, welfare, and fun!
We welcome instructors from Outspoken Training to King's Ely Prep every Lent Term to run 'Bikeability Level 2' sessions with our Year 5s. The organisation visits schools across the UK to run Bikeability lessons, which are designed to equip children with the skills, confidence, and enthusiasm to make more journeys by bicycle. The Level 2 programme teaches cyclists about effective observations, understanding road priorities, communicating with other road users, and successful road positioning.
Well done to all of our Year 5s for giving the sessions their all, often in bitterly cold conditions, to the children's families for their support with the logistics, and to the Outspoken Training team for their energy and professionalism!
