Jane Thomas appointed Head of King's Ely Senior from September 2025

We are delighted to confirm that our Vice Principal (Academic), Mrs Jane Thomas, will become Head of King’s Ely Senior from September 2025, following Mr Jonathan Shaw’s departure to Ellesmere College in Shropshire.

Mrs Thomas’ new title will be Head of King’s Ely Senior and Vice-Principal of King’s Ely.

Mrs Thomas is well-known to students, families, and staff throughout the whole school, and her new role creates continuity in the strategic leadership and development of both the Senior School and of King’s Ely as a whole.

Early in the New Year, we will be appointing a new Deputy Head (Academic) to take responsibility for the leadership of curriculum, teaching, and learning in King’s Ely Senior, to work alongside our current Deputy Heads, Mr Charlie Fisher and Miss Hayley Mortimer.
